I can play Crysis 3 with my AMD GPU but i can't use it for rendering? Why not?

I always wondered about this. Is there any external renderer that support GPU rendering with an AMD GPU? Is OpenCL functional yet? How about using CUDA with an AMD GPU?

People have been trying to get cycles working on AMD cards for years… it comes down to two things, kernel size & AMDs drivers. OpenCL works fine under nvidia / intel… just not AMD.

Please use the search function before posting stuff like this in future.
