Add more details in the model. Some texture decals will be a good choice

Hey BShep,

The basic design looks really awesome but as Little_Bernard wrote I miss the details.
E.g. you could add more seperation because at the moment the vehicle looks like it is made out of one big peace of metall. You could for example add carbon texture as an variation. Add more details to the lamp.
Look at existing cars and look how they are implementing details.

Okay, awesome! thanks.

How does this look?

Take a bit of time to think on how a machine like this would be built, think like your imaginary aircraft engineer. How many pieces is it assembled from? How are those pieces put together? For example, the fan arm and cowling on your model seem to be all one piece. What benefit would building it that way serve, as opposed to multiple pieces? If it IS multiple pieces, we’d expect to see panel gaps, and maybe rivets or bolts to keep the pieces together. Take a look at this airliner wing, for example: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3b/Easyjet_a319_wing_g-ezav_arp.jpg

Notice all the gaps and bolts, not just for the different pieces the wing is assembled from, but also from the control surfaces. It’s not evident how your aircraft could steer, since there are no visible control surfaces or a way for the fans to vector. Another example on your model: how does that landing gear work? Traditionally, that sort of landing gear design has a hinge at the foot (an “ankle” so to speak), allowing it to fold flat when it retracts. Yours does not seem to have that. Maybe it doesn’t retract, but that seems to run counter to the very sleek design of the ship.

Okay sounds great. Thank you.
