Animate one object, see an array follow.

I guess it’s kind of obvious but I just discovered this great effect.
If you animate an object and then make a reference-copy of it to use as the root object for an array, the entire array follows.



Here is the base object and some bones to animate it. ( I’ll backtrack through them if someone is curious how it works ) Call it a flap.
Then on another layer I made some nozzly thing with an array of 12 of a reference-copy of the flap.

The array is offset to an empty in the middle of the nozzle that’s rotated 30 degrees.
Now if you, in the other layer, animate the single flap, the entire array neatly follows.


Now I’m curious how the particles would do with little spiders.
