On older versions of Blender there was a menu called “hair info” when you clicked on the dot on the right side of “fac” (picture bellow), but now there’s none. How to procceed?
When you press the dot the box that appears may be too small to show all the options. A triangle at the top or bottom of the box will show if there are more option up or down. The Hair info options are at the top.
You can also just add a Hair Info node to the node editor
