Mask motion blur shutter offset

Hi everyone.

I’m trying to match roto mask’s motion blur to footage’s i’m rotoing from. Mask’s motion blur works fine in composite, shutter is quite same (motion blur length), but it seems to have little offset. Is there anything similar nuke’s shutter offset in blender? It seems its only way to fix the offset besides using complicated feather animation.

So again: Is there anything similar nuke’s shutter offset in blender?

Would appreciate any help.

I don’t believe there is. That would be a useful feature in the future, though.

Very useful feature… Hope devs will add it in nearest future. I’ve used it in every roto job i’ve done

On the other hand, being new to blender i’ve just tried “hard” roto in it, and i’m just amazed. I can’t remember when i enjoyed doing roto last time. Using proportional editing tool with roto is just so… fast!

Hm… Seems i just got away by animating shutter in mask node in composite.

I think that it depends on the nature of your mask and how small the features are that you are cutting out.
