I’m new to Blender. I have been looking for some high poly trees for blender but I haven’t found anything on the web… at least not for free. Any ideas what is the secret behind creating realistic visualizations with blender for exterior environments and architecture?

have you tried the sapling add-on? I think it is packed with the latest version, but don’t quote me on that.

Have you looked for any tutorials? Really all there is to it is learning to control the addon and make good materials.
As Tardis Maker says, there’s a lot of great tutorials on creating trees. Andrew Price from BlenderGuru did one last year on making a Christmas tree, but the same process, more or less, can be used to create just about any kind of tree.
