Mysterious render behavior ...jumpy bevelled curves in cycles!

There is a curve that forms a tube via a bevel object. There are hooks on some points of the curve, parented to mesh objects. Now in live cycles mode (preview), the tube behaves normally, stays in place, but when I do the actual rendering in cycles, the tube jumps to a different place. Any ideas why is this happening?

I have noticed this behavior a couple of years ago, it seems like a bug related to hooking, parenting and rendering…
I didn’t thought it will still be unresolved.

EDIT: Is it possible to simulate the live cycles mode characteristics in cycles render by adjusting the settings?

Nevermind, the problem now seems corrected, after I removed parentships and hooks and re-applied them. The bug though, remains… hidden.
