Fbx exporting problems

Greetings, I recently started exporting models from blender and when it came to fbx format i got this :


At first I thought there was a problem with the rig and made another without it, and still no success. I am using blender v2.71

is there anything I missed?
Misc info: applied textures to part with uv, made some animations.

EDIT: Reason - an unassigned empty material slot (strange one)

Are you exporting the entire scene? Did you select the objects to export and check the option Selected Objects under Export FBX? Without your .blend file I can only guess.

Oh, found the problem, quite stupid and unreasonable one: on one of the mesh parts the material slot wasn’t created, just empty…
