error cuda device supported only with compute capability 2.0 or up, 1.1 found

I have just installed a new video card geforce GTX 650 Ti I looked it up and it should have a compute capability of 3.0 well above the 2.0 required. However I got this message “error cuda device supported only with compute capability 2.0 or up, 1.1 found” when I go to blender switch to CUDA and GPU rendering and render something. I fiddled with the feature set switching it to experimental, but that did nothing. I switch it back to supported and I no longer get the initial error but the file does not render at all, it just says Mem:28.19(0.00M, Peak 80.28M) in the corner.

Does anyone know what is going on? why does it not recognise the new cards computing capability and render with it?

Outdated graphics drivers?

All drivers are up to date

Got GTX 650 and have no problem rendering with 337.88 driver. Maybe you use wrong blender build , get the 2.71 official build from www.blender.org.

That one works.
