I have been trying to make a horror game, and an essential feature in horror games is darkness, and (almost) always the protagonist has a flashlight. So, I tried making a flashlight, but the light does not work. Im using a spot light, and the objects dont cast a shadow, and the light doesnt make a “light circle”, it just does nothing. It only lights up objects if they are fully exposed to the light, I mean that the light has to cover the whole object to illuminate it. I am kind of new to Blender, so I dont know everything. I tried looking up in YouTube and Google but their lighting seems to work fine. Im using Blender Game Engine and here is the link to the .blend file. http://www.pasteall.org/blend/29561
Screenshots and example blend file that demonstrates the problem ?
Are you using GLSL shading ?
What type of lamp shadows ?
You can upload to http://www.pasteall.org/blend/
Im new to BlenderArtists, so I have no idea if this is how I reply. I may have made a spam of replies without knowing. Here is the link: http://www.pasteall.org/blend/29561
You need to change the Render / Shading to GLSL and reduce the Lamps Shadow clip start value so the shadow casting object is within the shadow clip range
