While I am creating a new project of mine, I am studying how to create realistic rocks. In the process I thought that a nice image could come out from the test rock I created and I decided to develop it a little bit.
The rocks and the tentacle were created, textures included in 3d coat.
Then everything was imported in blender and finally rendered in cycles. The render was quite long, as I wanted to test the new volumetrics… Really nice, but I hope there will be optimizations…

Looking at the image the second day I can see I could have added much more detail, like the effects of the drop on the water, some water splash around the rocks… But this had to be a speedy work, so I do not think I will change it.
