I have 2 cylinder objects (hi and lowres) with NO top or bottom, I bake a normal map in Substance Designer and get a very clean normal map:
I do the same thing, ADDING a flat, triangle bottom to both and get this:
. Why am I suddenly getting those strange bumps at the bottom of the normal map (and thus on my object)?? I feel as though this would happen whether I baked using xNormal or the likes, which is why I’m hoping someone out there has a piece of the puzzle that I’ve somehow missed Any and all input is appreciated
P.S. Before anyone asks about the UV maps being too disalike, I did make a new hires uv map identical to the low res, and although it was slightly better, it still had jagged edges and mini bumps.
