Help with armatures

Hello, Im making a video game and I was wondering if someone could help me with the armatures in the aliens in my game, for some reason part of the skin on the back legs is stretched whenever I move it. https://www.dropbox.com/s/yhos3r25fevryqx/Baddie%20finished.blend

Moved from “Jobs > Volunteer Work” to “Support > Animation and Rigging”

I checked the file, there were no armature objects in the file.
The mesh object was in sculpt mode.

Im not sure how to help, maybe you want help with how to rig the alien, or maybe you want someone else to rig the alien.

Its mostly problems with how the mesh is weighted to the bones.

First in Properties > Armature > Display panel, set the bones to Stick, then enable X-Ray.

The weights can be checked with the mesh in Weigh Paint mode, press RMB to select different pose bones.

Also, with the mesh in edit mode, goto Properties > Object Data > Vertex Groups panel.
Here you can select what vertices are assigned to the different vertex groups, also, you can manually assign and remove the selected vertices.

How do you add weight and subtract weight from the mesh to the bones? I was able to assign the vertices to the bone, but how do I remove the weights from the shell to the bones, do I just select the verts and click remove?
