Realistic rendering with HDRi image

I’ve been searching for the techniques to place a CG model in a real world using HDRi map in Blender, taking lights, shadows from HDRI image with so much of realism just like this shown in this tutorial for V-ray

Most important fact missing, what renderer do you want to use ?

Assuming you want to use the Cycles renderer that comes with blender
