Object Improperly Appears "Behind" Mesh

Hi, I am having a viewport problem. When I am viewing my image the claws (which are separate mesh) are showing up behind the body when in actuality they are coming out of the foot. Is there a setting I need to select so I can see the claws where they are actually positioned.
