Hi,
I am seeking artists to help with a short film we are looking to shoot in mid-July. This will be a five-ish minutes, live-action, effects-heavy production mixing practical with cgi.
Title (working): The Gauntlet
Logline: A MacGyver-loving young girl battles monsters throughout her parents’ house.
Synopsis: Nine-year-old Olive’s parents refuse to believe her stories about the monsters that torment her at night. Now, it’s time to take matters into her own hands. Olive uses the many household objects at her disposal to battle the creatures.
Imagine a Home Alone/Evil Dead mash-up.
To bring these creatures to life we need artists for:
-Modeling
-Rigging
-Lighting
-Texturing
-Animating
-Effects
As for myself, I am a writer/director who has worked on multiple short films. I also have one feature-length screenplay which has been optioned and is scheduled to shoot this fall…. along with another that I aim to direct in 2015.
I have dabbled in Blender and other 3d/effects programs but my strength is storytelling. The rest is where I need your help. This film is being made for passion, not profit. You will receive credit, a demo reel, and the potential for a lasting partnership.
