GPU rendering not working (2.69 and 2.70a, AMD Radeon)

Hello everyone!
I just tried using my graphics card for rendering. I opened the “User Preferences” and opened the “System” tab. When I try selecting the “Compute Device”, I cannot choose GPU. There is only one button saying “None” and below a menu with only “CPU” in it.
I tried this using both, Blender 2.69 and 2.70a. The same problem occurs in both versions.
Oh and I am using an AMD Radeon HD 6770M.
Does anyone know how I can do this?

Many thanks in advance and greetings,
Shu

Thank you for your answer, Richard Marklew!
Well then, I guess I can forget about that. I don’t really want to deal with major bugs whatsoever.

EDIT:
Does anyone know if gpu rendering support for AMD graphics cards is planned?

The ball is in AMDs court to support GPU rendering in Cycles. All of the code is OpenCL compliant, and OpenCL compiles and runs just fine on CPUs and nVidia GPUs. AMDs compiler and drivers just suck and they haven’t done much to fix it for years now.

Thanks for the reply, m9105826!
I don’t really know much about graphics cards. So I didn’t know that AMD should solve this.
Well then, I guess I will have to work without GPU rendering, get a machine with a different graphics card or wait for probably very long, if AMD’s going to change anything at all.
