However, I never tried it, and it seems like a stale project, but if it works on previous android versions, it should also work on the latest.
I don’t think GameKit’s going forward at a fast clip right now, the nature of its license means that while it is commercial friendly, those who want to develop cool stuff will just fork the project into a commercial venture (which means closed source and for a fee), if you don’t believe that then I think it actually happened at least once in the last few years.
It’s also happened with the Bullet engine which the BGE uses, the very nature of development makes it very difficult for FOSS using a permissive license to become serious competitors to commercial game engines.
