I’ve been working on this project for a couple of weekends and I would like to know what I could improve. All suggestions are welcome, thanks.
It’s lookin’ pretty good!
I think the reflections of the lanterns on the water could be blurred though, and the rock w/the mushroom things could have a better tex. Good start though.
Overall I’d say the water is too dark. Maybe add a nightsky texture for the water to reflect? I like the waves though.
Also, on closer inspection, it’s rather inacessible to me from a thematic point of view. You have those lanterns, o.k. I know there are festivals were they do this, but then there are those mushrooms on the rocks. Personally I don’t get how they relate to the lanterns or what they contribute to the scene thematically.
