Text stamp

Hi guys

I’d like to be able to ‘stamp’ a text object onto my mesh so that the mesh object deforms underneath.

Am I right in thinking the best way to do this is to
a. ensure my mesh has sufficient geometry to support deformation
b. create a custom brush and then use this brush to apply to mesh

Any other cool ways of doing it?

I’d also like the original text to curve the same way as the underlying mesh so that the text that is ‘stamped in’ is of an equal depth. So to do this I really need to use the snap tool to get the text to curve the same way as the underlying mesh before converting it to a brush right?

Stamping with a Sculpt brush should work Ok I think.

Thanks SWB, knife project works really well once you have sufficient geometry.
