Intense sculpting work on the sea monster, now how do you suppose you’re going to retopo this sucker when it comes time to rig and texture it?

Looking at the timelapse, you seem to have quite some patience as it seems to cover hours of sculpting work.

Sculpting is the hard part, retopo and texturing is easier.

Started the Retopology stage:

I have rushed through many projects, but I find that you end up spending more time fixing or hiding parts you rushed, than if you where to do it properly and professionally.

And yes I do have and spent hours on projects, that’s the fun bit of being a freelancer.

I find it to be the opposite, sculpting is the fun creative part, and the retopo I find tedious.

I like the gold material you used. Also, did you draw the 2d dragon, or is it from another source/ I like the way you use it in the sculpting process. I’ve done that in poly modeling, but not in sculpting.

No I didn’t, you can find it on defiantART somewhere, but its one of many references I used.
I liked this reference especially for the mouth and teeth.
(since most references are with the mouth closed and thus not handy for sculpting)

UPDATE: Using my backup laptop for the moment, expect to have a new -kickass- custom rig in 2 - 3 months, I’ll then be able recover the data stuck on the HDD (Most Data is on my Laptop [not all data though])
