When importing fraps video: audio "strip" is typically shorter, and choppy

I’m wondering what causes this. Computer during recording? The audio itself is choppy as well, as if every second has just a little bit more audio smashed into it than it should, making it stutter. This basically makes the audio portion useless, which is sad :frowning:

Halp? Thanks in advance!

have you set up the proper frame rate before importing in the audio strip?

OMG why can’t we have a sticky for this!!!?

Yeah check source frame rate and match the project settings.

oh! I get it. So i need to lock the framerate too when I turn fraps on! Thanks guys!

So yeah even with a matching framerate, it’s still choppy. Any other suggestions?

Because it is a bug and really should be fixed.

When will Blender be able to handle multiple frame-rate footage like all the other professional packages?

Isn’t that just a multiply factor on the sampling rate…?

You can now alter the project frame rate and both audio and vision strips will match. But you have no way in blender to tell what the source frame rate is.

edit you could always check it out of blender by checking the properties of the file.
