rotational springs

Hello blender community!

Im new to Blender coming from Softimage as a character rigger and animator.

I was wondering if there is a way to add rotational springs to a bone chain in Blender? Basically what i hope to achieve is something similar to the effect of the mt_spring addon in Soft. It doesnt need to be as polished just looking for a solution to add some automatic overlapping that can be applied to a bonechain or built into a rig somehow.

I cant find it. A soft bodied IK target will make a armature move like that. I saw a old tutorial on a squirrel tail where the tail bones moved like that. I think it was a pdf but maybe not. I was looking for it myself and can not find it or any like it.

Yeah its very nice and quick for tails and ears without needing to simulate it, I could really use if for the fins of a fish im trying to make now:) Well well, ill look into the soft bodied IK like you say, thanks again!
