Copying Sound IPOs/curves in VSE (2.70)

I have a music mix that I’d like to copy (and tweak) across a couple of projects and ran into trouble keeping the volume IPOs around. The only way I found is copy & pasting the sound clips and then doing the volume envelopes one by one, including the necessecity to insert the volume key first. Is there really no better way? In th eideal world I’d be able to group the clips into a metagroup and append/link that.

Any kind of help appreciated.

Sadly no, Blender is not a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) even though some of the function is there. There are issues with duplicating f-curves on audio objects though. IIRC when you duplicate an audio stip (possibly any strip) the datablock remains with the first version. I’m not sure if you could create a driver to change them all the same but then there would be frame start issues.

I use split strip and fades, which is more troublesome than the way you are doing it now. Sorry.

Send it out to Audacity I guess.
