Sketchfab hack

Hi guys

I was just posting here in case anyone had any bright ideas on this.

I am essentially wanting to upload an object that has been labelled to sketchfab, so that when you spin it around you can see the labels referring to different parts of the object (anatomy). Currently my object is labelled with 2D text, so the text/ labelling is only visible in one plane. Can any of you think of a way that you could create the scene in Blender so that when the object and it’s labels are uploaded they are visible from multiple angles? Or perhaps the text is somehow tracked to the camera?

Verold studio I think may come closer to being able to achieve this with its game engine, but doesn’t support Blender scenes currently.

Thanks in advance
T

Hi there,

Sounds like a cool project! Can’t you have the text part of the model, like the example below? On a side note, we are working on hotspots and viewpoints, so that you can add this from our editor  Stay tuned!

You know what, that actually works pretty well! Interested to hear some more details about what hotspots and viewpoints are?

And when you are going to introduce Cycles support? =D
