.PNG files saved from Blender fail to upload.

Hya!

I am having the oddest problem, since I updated to 2.70 I cant upload .Png files saved out of Blender to Blender Artists unless I convert them to another format such as .Jpg…
Files saved from older versions of Blender work fine.

I have not the faintest idea of why this would be but there you have it…
If sticking the offending files in DropBox would help let me know ok?

Cheers!

I’ve had this problem in the past (before 2.7) - but I think it was to do with the files size (the jpgs were smaller).

Are they 16 bit?

@Swmo:
Hmm… file size is sort of possible but it would be embarrassingly large problem to only be able to upload tiny images…

@28Selves:
No, they should be 32 bit. 8 bits per channel, no alpha is ok right?
It should be on whatever the default is as the new version eliminated all of my old settings much to my annoyance.
I will make sure of that and the file size idea, both are good possibilities.

Thanks guys!

Ok it could be size…
I didn’t realize how absurdly large png files are, a 10mb .png file is far less than 1mb as a .jpg with lossless compression.
Sigh… its always something!
What is the actual size limit here?

Thanks you guys, I guess that answers that.

Jpgs would also be large without compression. What .png compression have you set when saving ?
