Add Faces From Material to Existing Weight Shade Group?

Turning the head on my character leaves her earrings behind. It’s not a good look. LOL

Is there a way for me to select all faces with material, say, ‘earrings’ and add them to the an existing weight shade group ‘head’ please?

kindest regards,

In the mesh panel, under vertex groups, you can assign elements to a group using the weight in the slider. If you go to the materials panel, you can select all faces with a mat by clicking the “select” button. Then just go over vertex groups, select your head group, set weight to 1, and hit “assign”. Also, if the earrings are a separate object you can just parent or constrain them to the head bone, no need to skin them.

My apologies. I shall be more careful of my forum section selection in future.

My thanks J_the_Ninja for your help. Much appreciated.
