I decided to experiment with making Northern Lights, after being inspired by the movie Frozen. It is rendered with Cycles, using the awesome new volumes, and it is completely done in Blender. The lights seem to have some artifacts, which I can’t seem to get rid of. Oh well. Hope you like it anyway!

Thanks! I did actually think about adding the palace, but then I thought some more about it, and I realized, that it would be a way too big undertaking right now 
yeah… im trying to model it but its tricky… and nobody has an orthographic view
