HELP!! Normal Mapping Only Baking Two Faces

Hi all! First I’d like to say, glad to be a part of this community finally :wink:

So I’ve been trying to get my normal mapping into the models that I have been doing, and I’ve been following a tutorial (nay, multiple tutorials) on the matter. Doing the ol’, low-poly/high-poly cube bit.

Anywho, my issue is thus:
I select the high poly cube, select the low poly cube, hit bake. The bake goes successfully, but it seems to have only baked two faces from the high poly cube out of all six sides.

I’m sorry I do not know how to send my blender files along with the normal maps/image maps.


In 3d view i do not see any detail on the top face to bake. It looks correct. Maybe a higher resolution image to bake to.

Aye it is there though. But you cannot see it in 3D view because it extrudes inwards, so the flat surface of the low poly model hides it :wink:
