Connor Saxe - Sketchbook

The first of the pre-alpha test models for the sci-fi web series I’m working on. Pictured: Ultra-low-poly modular floor panel, brought down from a 10K+ high-poly original. Normal & AO maps applied; no diffuse, specular or displacement yet. Done from scratch in one evening; created using JDaniels’ bulkhead panel detailing technique.

Left: Concept silhouette of what’s probably going to be the iconic ship of the series.
Right: Another ship concept; probably the other “star” ship (pun sort-of intended) appearing in the opening scene of the pilot episode.

Both are designed as corvettes (no, not like the car.)

The result of an hour of impulse modeling: About half of the pilot’s chair on the bridge set for the series.

More work done on a sci-fi corridor I started several months back.

Beginning to experiment with lighting and colors.
