Come to think of it, it would probably be a Marshall stack or something similar not a “Bumper.”
I was also wondering if anybody had suggestions on how to do better light bulbs (that’s what those green things are supposed to be :). I just made a sphere, then put a tiny cylinder in the center of them. The sphere was glass texture and the cylinder was an emitter. I saw the blender cookie tutorial but it seemed a little complicated for my needs. Any suggestions or links?

I have trouble with those luminescent sort of things aswell… I wonder if you made the cillenders a halo material if that would make any significant change x:

Great works! amazing RoberT and I loved it SonnySee´s entry

they are. I voted for enos shenk.

Hi… me too… i did vote for emu. Nice idea! But the other pictures and also mik`s animation is cool. For doing realy good animation stuff it is realy a short time i think. So great work everybody! Still impressed by roberts work. Without any post in photoshop or something it is realy a good and detailed rendering. Nice to see what can be done in a short time.

If you give your emitter a material pass index, you can isolate it in the compositor and give just the lights that extra glow that make them pop. Andrew price briefly goes over this in part of his latest tutorial on making a christmas tree. He models the light and begins to discuss how to add the glow somewhere around the 43 minute mark in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Yd7ad08e54

I agree there are some great works this week. I always appreciate the different takes on whatever theme is given. Thank you for the compliment on my piece. I originally struggled with making a rope with a knot in it. I managed to get the knot looking good and the rope modeled out but could never get the texture looking as believable as I wanted. I was going to call it “Threefold Cord”. Instead, I went to the other end of the ocean so to speak and decided to give my take on an old cartoon that I had seen long ago. glad you liked it. It’s on blendswap if you wold like to download it:
