The Enigma I (Node setup added)

This is the end result of my Enigma project. A (somewhat rambling and expansive) WIP can be found here.

The Enigma was a cipher used in and around WWII by the German forces. It was cracked by the hard work of Polish and British mathematicians. As a consequence of this work (and others) one of the first computers was built (Colossus).

Many thanks to all who help with feedback during the project, namely: Harleynut97, Minoribus and Rickyblender.

It really turned out great MonkMonk! As I've said a lot of times now, your texturing and materials are amazing. The amount of details in them are inspiring.
I've learned a great deal from following your WIP, and will recommend other newcomers to check it out.
    5 star from me

The king of grunge.... the Sultan of scratches, has done an excellent job on this project... It definitely should be gallery bound.

Every 3D rag should be paying for the privilege to show this to their readers. The finished work is positively stunning; it's got me frozen just staring at it. Unbelievable perseverance - 5* of course!

Awesome work, I wish I knew half of what you know about texturing.
I have 500 bad drawings in me before the good ones. And I have 365 to go, here they are.

Congrats Monk!... you just made the top row... but I don't know why they picked the image they did ( I think there are better views to show) ... maybe because it is the first image posted here... try switching the order and see if it changes

Thanks for the kind words everyone! It's nice to know that such a long project has paid off in the end. Thanks for the feature.

Harley: Funny you should say that, I purposely chose that render to be first because it's my favourite. (Although the third one is close behind)

Turned out really fantastic. Been following progress in the WIP thread. Enormous amount of hard work, but well worth it. Gallery material.

The texture work is nothing short of spectacular, I really like how you managed to pay attention to even the smallest details in terms of scratches and scuffs, a brilliant example of just how much you can add to a scene with textures.

Even when looking at the textures up close, you can't help but notice that there's very little, if any, issue with the texture resolution being too low, definitely one of the best examples of texturing that this forum has seen in a long time.
Sweet Dragon dreams, lovely Dragon kisses, gorgeous Dragon hugs. How sweet would life be to romp with Dragons, teasing you with their fire and you being in their games, perhaps they can even turn you into one as well.
