That’s impressive replication, Good job.

really good, two things differ from the references: the sculpt has a thinner neck in side view, the ears need to be angled sligthly backwards in sideview. he had the ears pretty straight, but not so complete as you sculpted. in frontview your ears need more curves on the rim. wonderful portrait work. did you start from a basemesh on multires, or with dynatopo? just curious to learn others workflows.
edit, just on admiring your sculpt again, i found another thing you can tweak. namely the forehead, see how it is not just bends backward in a curve, but makes a visible angle about halfway up? that is important characteristic in all portraits, to capture this is good for likeness

Thank you for the feedback guys!

Doris, thank you for the critiques, really appreciate. I started from a subdivided cube, just extruded the neck and I used multires.

Nose study…

I liek the nose study, that is a good idea to isolate the work like that

May I?
You’re smoothing too much when sculpting. You need clear defined forms. Smoothing comes automatically, always (I hate it) as you work more and adding details. It is the nature of such artistic procedure.
I’m talking on the Krishnamurti portrait.
A nose can’t stay separated from eyes. There is some continuity of forms, of muscles if you prefer, there.

Thank you for the comments guys, sorry for not answer them before.

Here something I start working this last sunday, I started modeling just the bust of Robocop, not trying match with the likeness of the actual actor of the movies.

Yeah! Classic RoboCop! Not this bullshit coming to theaters.

That’s the image I clicked on your sketchbook to see.

Thanks Dorien!

Here another wip, still need clean up some areas and there is a lot of detail to put yet.

Robocop is the bomb. Well done.

Hello there! I’m start working on a new character, this is the first time I made the concept art and the 3D production.

So here is some WIP, I started with a base mesh created with the skin modifier and then started sculpting from there.

Hi!

Good stuff! Question - on your new WIP are you using multires or dyntopo?

Thanks! I’m using multires on that dude.

Thats what I thought. Love the progression images.

Awesome!! Love the last one
