QUIP : Quick HDRI Environment Map Integration

I’ve made those two OSL shaders to have a fast and easy solution to put my 3D Objects in HDR Environment, without compositing.

There are two shaders :

QUIP
is for Panoramic Camera, it’s the easier to use. It’s made for targeteed camera (using ‘track to’).

QUIPCam
is for Free , moving, Camera. It’s made for Spherical Camera Mapping.Just have a look at the video, and you will perfectely understand what they do and how they work :

It’s not real ‘Shadow Only’ shader. Indeed, it works well, and there is no need for compositing !

You can learn more, read the documentation (sometimes happens), and download shaders here : http://vadrouillegraphique.blogspot.fr/2013/06/quip-and-quipcam-fast-fx-shaders.html

Enjoy it ! And Comments are welcome !

sweet! thanks.

Really clever demo of what can be achieved with OSL.

What a trivial mistake, thank you
It’s not a first time I’m using OSL, but I used builds before where it was enabled by default (maybe).
Thanks for help.

Great shader!
Can you try write shadow only shader on osl? (It may be nice)

I still have a lot to experiment with alpha channel… QUIPis a first step, usable without compositing.

Shadow only is dificult with OSL because it’s not possible to know how light is rendered. But I’m trying to get better and better !

Good luck!
I’m sure you did it.
Thank you again for shader!

awsome!
I need more time for blender

Hmm… I just tried the QUIPCAM.osl file using Blender 2.69.8 and it would no longer compile.

Is there an update to this shader?

I have the same problem
Any chance to brink it works?
Thanks for reply.

Updated !

It should work well now

enjoy !
