Having Nodes Effect the Reflection of an Object

I’m trying to make a light (mesh) reflect off of a mirror which I can do, but I also want to add some more to it to enhance it with an ID Mask to single it out and a blur and glare node. But I cant get the nodes to effect the mesh through the mirror.

Is there any way I could get the nodes to effect the reflection of the mesh?

What you need to do is render a glossy direct pass and apply your effects to that as well as to the part of the image isolated by the mask. It can be enabled in the “Render Layers” panel under “Passes.” My full node setup is below. The AddStreaks group just takes the image and adds glow and streaks.

Only one problem… I am using blender render and dont know how to set up textures in cycles very well. Is there any way to do it in blender render or is there a tutorial that i could watch that would help me better understand how to set up different types of textures?
