Blender is a fantastic tool in its own right, but it can also shine as part of a larger art/production pipeline. By combining Blender with other packages you may create a workflow that is more optimal and productive for you.
In this quick tutorial, I show an example of how Blender can be used alongside ZBrush with the GoZ applink add-on for Blender, known as GoB.
While using the applink you can easily import and export projects between Blender and Zbrush, without the hassle of dealing with OBJ files. Along with the model, GoB also automatically transfers any textures, displacement, or normal maps you may create in ZBrush. Also, it perfectly maintains UV data across both packages without the need to deal with flipping UVs to keep things congruent.
Through this tutorial I’ll be showing you where to get the tool, how to install it, and a quick example of some of the data that is transferred seamlessly between the two packages.
