Dodge RAM 3500 2010 XS Edition 100 Cars in Blender

Greetings all

I’m proud to present to you my latest car. Unlike most of the cars that hit the XS SuperCar series, the Dodge RAM falls in a category just as exotic as the sports cars. Big, bulky, badass and ready to ride over anyone who wants to challenge it. The Dodge RAM has always been one of the many cars I wanted to build. Today it is unveiled under the XS SuperCar Series.

5 Feet higher, hundred times stronger, and unlimited times more badass, the Dodge RAM 3500 XS features some nice High Profile Offroad Goodyear Tyres. These wheels are kept on the ground by a custom 4wd Drive Train system. This beast is kept running on a mean 6.0 litre Twin Turbo V12 engine. Geared with a set of 6 Piston Xaltech Brake Kits, this Dodge RAM can live up to its name with a Nanometal bullbar, for all those situations that need an extra push.

The Dodge RAM is also a symbol of my 100th CAR designed in blender! Standing tall and standing above the rest, the Dodge would forever be the 100th icon in my car arsenal, thanks for a 100 cars support, you guys all rock!

As always, comments and critique is more than welcome! Enjoy the car.

Man, you totally did it again!

Wow! I’d just like to say… … wow.

Thanks mate, though I must admit I’m still not completely satisfied with the renders, but I suppose for now it is all good. XD

Thank you very much my friend.

Outstanding!.. just curious, you mentioned not being completely satisfied, what else do you think needs tweeking? It looks great to me.

Model wise: I’d like to add more detail to the car, especially the rear.

Render Wise: Apart from the low sample rate, (was aiming for 3000, ended up with 1600) the lighting on the outdoor render looks still a bit unnatural to me, and the studio render can definitely still get a lighting upgrade. Though If I’m satisfied with my work I’ve not done enough work on it.

Thanks for the comments, and thanks again for the support!

First of all Hats off for this work. Five Stars From Me
Your work is Flawless . Many Things to learn from you.
I have a question where do you Find the Detailed References of the car.your all the car has every Detail that real Car has i mean every Part like Chassis, Suspension how do you do that ?

Wow! Thank you very much, really appreciate the kind words. As for the details, Google is your friend. I’d usually end up with about 60 - 70 pictures, videos and all other references I can find of the actual real world car. I’m absolutely addicted to details, and I believe that model is better looking than making a texture that adds bumpmaps or displacement.

Car parts like brake kits, drivetrains, engines and all sorts of technical parts I’ve built models a while back, so it speeds up the project time it takes to finish a project. Quite often I’ll still build new car part models for a car, especially when it is a concept car. For the RAM there was a lot more parts I rebuilt to fit to the car’s custom look and build.

On a side note:

I’ll release wireframe renders tomorrow during the day.

wow amazing man 5*

Thank you very much my friend

Really great work on this model !

Liked you on Facebook but couldn’t find you Twitter

Is missing the hills or mountains on the horizon. With these, the image will be indistinguishable from reality

Really cool! I just wanto to know: is it composited on a photo or also the desert is rendered? Looking at the shape of the shadows I suppose it’s composited.

Thats really cool!
9 hours, what was the final resolution?

Shadows were rendered, but the background is a photo, after this render was done, I did build the photo into a real modeled scene, though rendering it together with the car proved to be more than what my CPU could handle. As with my previous car (which you can find a teaser of here: http://xelusprime.wix.com/ettiennev#!portfolio3ddesigns/c30n ) rendering a scene together with the car is too much.

So until I can find a way to get the background with the car, this car won’t see the light of day. The RAM was more of a test for me to learn to be more resourceful but still keeping the same quality. Though I would’ve love to render my desert scene together with the RAM, it won’t happen anyday soon.

Thank you guys for all the support, man I always hope you guys here on BA would like the things I upload. You guys rock!

Man,this pic is now my top 1 best blender rendered image . I really love it ,very nice composition ! I love it .

Wow! Thank you very much my friend, really appreciate the support.
