First of all, Iwant to introduce myself :
I’m from Belgium.
I’m 41 years old, I’m married and Ihave 3 children.
I work as nurse in Radiology in a hospital.
I’m sorry if my syntax and my vocabulary are not very good, it’s a long time ago since I write so much in English (French is my first language)
3D is a great hobby for me;)
My first contact with a 3D software was due to an excellent tutorial from David Revoy (many thanks to him) on the interface of Blender 2.42.
At this time I was very interested by video games and I rapidly work with 3dsmax. I also worked with XSI. I learned a lot from these 2 softwares.
Wen Blender 2.5 appears, I decided to go back to legality and I’m very happy of my choice.
No let’s talk about my project:
I bought the Masterclass vol 6 of computer arts (in french) and I began the tutorials.
The second one is on the Raiponce’s tower. But I want to improve this exercise and to be
more proach from the model of the film.
One of the most difficult chalenge for me was to apply the tiles on the roof. I use particules for it and it was the first time for me …
The modelisation is pratically finished.
I have to agree with XeroShadow, the color on the roof looks a bit weird, maybe because the rest is all with “ceramic” texture.
But the shape and modeling is spot on! Just a matter of working the textures and you are good to go
Great job
Looks nice! I love that movie. By the way, it’s spelled “Rapunzel” (I was a little confused when I saw the title.) Also, the color of the roof is too saturated and varied. There weren’t any hot pink tiles in the movie. So, work on that, and if you can get the textures looking good this will be awesome, because the modeling is great!
