It's absolutely fantastic, modeling, details, textures, lighting, rendering, mood... stunningly beautiful.
Fantastic work and great renders, congratulations

Those objects will still show as reflections but not seen by the camera themselves even though they are...

Insanely great
Is grass and leaves particles?
Rendered with Cycles?
What render times did you get on those bad boys?
Absolutely beautiful
I've always got best speed on GPU (cuda) using scene dimension/4
For 1920x1080 scene set tiles to 480x270
That way the scene is divided even and there's no half tiles rendering.
I haven't tried on...
Beautiful work Paulina
Maybe the walls and ceiling is a little to dark, the room kind of disappears a little.
Other than that... fantastic.
Do you feel it's easier to work with Cycles...
cekuhnen, starting to look good now.
Would you share the Blender/V-ray scene please,
I have V-ray for Blender but have never started learning it and would like to test your scene and learn a...
Why is the V-Ray image so blurry?
Not that it has anything to do with these renders... just wonder
Beautiful Vicky
Wow.. what a cool shape on the screw-torus thingy :p
How did you make that?
These absolutely wonderful.
You've got such a nice style.
Happy New Year from Sweden
Great image Alin!
Kind of a Salvador Dalí surreal feeling to it.
Didn't you use V-ray before, and wouldn't it be faster and cleaner for this kind of render?
With camera start/end clipping you can set from where the camera should start and end see/render.
You can actually have the camera outside a wall or (box in my example) and have the camera...
Your tree base is unchecked for render, that's why it doesn't show :eyebrowlift:
FastLeaD, do you still have that lag?
I have exactly the same configuration on my iMac 27 as you, running 10.9 and have no lag at all.

Lovely, great work

Safari it usually uncompress the zip file for you when finished that's why you get the folder, the zip file is then moved to the trash can.
This can be turned off in Safari settings if...
Install the zip file directly like this.
Yes... if you just click Animation instead of Render on my test file it will render the animation which only has three frames, each with different cameras.
You'll get three png's (camera0001.png,...
Here's a quick tut.

2. Select first camera and make it active (ctrl+0)
3. Place the timeline on the frame where you want the camera to become active and...
Camstudio is quite good
EZVID seems nice to (haven't tried it)
For Windows, OS X or Linux?
It looks fantastic!
The animated parts are good.
The repetitive grass and stone textures are fine for this illustrative purpose.
Well said Jake!
I try to be as straight as possible with critique and point out if i think something could be improved if they tried to this or that but also try point out what is good.
What is the target for your videos?
Is it the final delivering format for for playing on TV from an USB stick or Youtube or Vimeo?

How to Render a Shadow Pass in Cycles!
Check your PM
Looking forward to see the finished movie.
Please consider a short making of movie as well ;-)
I believe Andrei uploaded new demo builds to the Chaos site a month ago which should have fixed the date error thing.
I see that the latest builds on Chaos site is from Jul 08, 2013 is that the...
It looks awesome!
The scale of the chairs looks a bit off though.
The chairs are very small... or the room height and windows are to high.
A little more light on the couch would be nice as well....
Here's a 100% crop of the glossy text.
Cheers // Johny
I took a look at your blend file and made some tests, is this the kind of glossiness you were aiming for?
I used the Blender Renderer (BI) instead of Cycles because i think it's...
A few things i'd like to change...
1. The camera seems to wide, it looks like the walls are falling in, if wider then 35 try setting it back to 35.
2. Camera angle seems a bit to...
About a year later and it's nudge time again ;-)
Render Shots doesn't work in Blender 2.68.
Would it be possible to update it?
After lots of beers you'll probably solve it.
Or at least make something interesting...lol
I made a quick test scene and rendered it with CPU only on two machines with 10.7.4 and 10.8.4 with the official Blender 2.67b r57123 and 2.68RC and i don't get any sun problem.
I just tested your app and it's simply amazingly good.
It's so easy and fun to use.
You should sell it so you could make some money from it.

Maybe a HDRI image could help giving some nice real world reflections.
The lighting and reflections are a bit to controlled now.

Thank you for providing these textures.
It's highly appreciated!
Thanks... that worked even better
Double click the viewer doesn't work for me but disconnect/reconnect the viewer and the backdrop image turns up.
Sometimes it even takes two reconnects.
Tested 2.67a and 2.67b
For Blender Internal append the material in this blend file to get a brushed metal look.
Play with the material color, specular and mirror color. ...
I have CUDA up n running fine on my old Mac Pro 1.1 with a standard GTX 570 2,5 GB in OS X 10.7.4 which needed a few edited files with instructions from Netkas site.

Try do repair permissions on your HD.
Maybe there's some cache needing deleting as well.
Is it only with Blender you get this lag?
And you use Blender 64 Bit version?
Only time i have experienced file browser lag is when i have disks that have gone in sleep mode and my bookmarks point to one of them.
They then spin up and everything is back to normal again.
Good job guys :eyebrowlift:
But where should i select "premultiply"?
0.1.5 - Blender official 2.67 - OS X 64Bit
Modeling and lighting is beautiful.
I agree about the carpet, a little to long strands.

I'm just trying the Rigid Body stuff in 2.66 and can't seem to get simple falling objects on ground to not partially intersect with the ground before they stabilize themselves.
Sweet, great job :eyebrowlift:
Absolutely stunning work
I updated the image with a 1500 sample version and changed the font.
Personally i like a clean straight forward font.
Yes i used the Bolt factory addon...
I played around with the bullet physics in 2.66 and rendered it in Cycles 800 samples.
The full size image has some nice texture details.

It renders fine for me with official 2.66a in OS X 10.7
Do you get the same clipping with another Blender version?
Anyone please, i'm stuck
I Have two reflective boxes on separate layers.

Problem is that both reflective planes shines on both...
I made just such a tutorial the other day for a friend.
Inkscape 2D logo/icon to Blender 3D.
It's just a quick one not much explaining of shortcuts and so on other than the screen cast...

I just tested your scene in Blender 2.63, 2.64, 2.65 and 2.66 in OS X 10.7 with a 5 button mouse (an old MS Intellimouse 3.0)
And the scene behaves perfectly normal.
Pressing the middle mouse...

I find myself doing most graphic work in Inkscape rather than Photoshop just because Inkscape has such good option to export work as PDF with rasterized blur (at 300+ DPI) which works perfectly in...
Since i got used to Inkscape it has completely replaced Illustrator for my needs.
Cross platform and free...... :eyebrowlift:
I still use an old Mac Pro 1.1 from early 2007 and have upgraded it with a SSD disk and a standard GTX 570 2,5GB and it took some fiddling to get it going right but it now runs cycles perfect....
I really like your scene, great modeling.
Is it BI or Cycles render?
My "personal" critique is that most edges are a little to hard.
The bump is to high o the wall.
The colors are to...
I had to test a few versions before getting the "vray_adv_20004_maya2010_leopard_x86.zip" working in 10.8.2 following sebastians tutorial.
That's a 32bit version 2.00.04 from Apr 28, 2011.
I'm still jealous of how much control Cinema 4D has over the text geometry without having to convert the text.
Jump to around 5 min, the really interesting part is at 8 min.
Josh, that last picture is looking fantastic!
I'm looking forward to your tutorial.
Will it include making that texture?
I thought so to at first... but make sure to set each camera save directory and it works fine in official 2.64a, it also worked fine in r51570 and r52037 from graphical.org that i've tried it on both...
As Sago said,
You can render one scene as one animation and switching between several cameras either as an animation or as still shots.
This is quite handy if you would like to render a few...
place57, Thanks for the tip.
I realized that each time i changed the path i needed to remove and set a new key frame for the camera ending position otherwise the movement went all weird.
I'm not getting any luck animate the camera.
I want to start with the camera close up on an object 10 meters up from ground rotated in Y -90° then slowly move the camera backwards rotating it...
I like the light and mood and details, great modeling.
1. The trees outside is a bit boring
2. Is the chair a little to big?
How was the scene lit?
YafaRay 0.1.1 is for Blender 2.49 only.
If you want to use YafaRay in Blender 2.6x you have to use 0.1.2
I'm not sure if YafaRay 0.1.2 works in Blender 2.62.
Get a recent Blender 2.63 build
Then download the 32 or 64 bit exporter
YafaRay 0.1.2 Beta 5 for...
2.64 in OS X 10.7.4 with GTX 570 2,5 GB doesn't work with Cycles on GPU/CUDA :(
(CUDA kernel compilation failed, see console for details.)
Official 2.63a (r46461) doesn't work either but 2.63 build...
Absolutely beautiful work!
How did you light the scene, and what amount of samples/render times did you get?
The couch material looks scary though, other than that impressive modeling and beautiful compositions and renders.
What graphic card do you use and what kind of render times do you...
As Richard said... get a mouse with a scroll wheel, you need it to work efficient.
Are you using Blender Internal render or Cycles?
Personally i had no prior 3D experience and spent many weeks...
OS X at work and at home.
I actually installed an un-flashed of the shelves GTX 570 2,5 GB in my old Mac Pro 1.1
Edited a few files following Netkas tutorials and it runs fine in Lion with Cycles.
It's a temp solution...
I hope it worked as you wanted, it does for me :)
Your picture is very dark and hard to see what it is.
Yes, use the excellent Addon "Render Shots" by Aaron Symons which will do exactly what you want
Or use a two cylinders with two arrays each then two boleans on the plane but don't apply the boleans or arrays just hide from render, that way you can always tweak them if needed.
Good idea :)
This is why this forum is so great, lots of good ideas and talented people making neat things.
One idea leads to another, later on we all have something very useful.
I agree that ideas has gone...
You mean something like this?
Scroll the timeline
To frame a shot right you need to set Blender default render resolution to the same as the specific render shot camera you want to render so you see what you frame.
So if camera-1 is...
Aaron great work... it's getting better and better :D
It works great in OS X 10.7.4 no freeze or crash and opens saved files with multiple cameras ready to render.
The different render settings...
