Hey DeeVad,
excelent work!!! I really appreciate your style.

I would love to see your video, but unfortunately all i see are weird artefacts.
What codec did you use? is someone else experiencing this problem or is it just me?

Hy,
I liked your scene, the flower, the elf, the grass, the light thingies that float on top of the water.
But the toad is like modeled by somebody else and just doesn't fit in the same style. You should try to redo the toad.
Keep up the good work et bonne merde
Thanks JiriH !
Linny: For the codec ; I didn't know , it's tdt3D who did that. I guess to install the last Quicktime player could be the best.
Snelleedy : Thanks for the comment ! the frog was the first object modelled, It's sure that If I had to redo it I would never done it like that.

You really did a great job DeeVad, it was very pleasant to see and the rendering is just wonderful. It needs some improvement in the fairy animation, but that said it's very well done.
Congrats
very very nice. I like it a lot.
one thing that could have make it better could have been the hair that move when she moves. otherwise it was really nice.
it was a nice realxing time :D
Really really good I thought :)
It seemed just a little dark though and some or your nice scene detail was lost or at least on my monitor.
Given the effort you must have put in you should render it a little bigger say PAL size to do it credit.

Great stuff.
The lighting is the best part.
The camera action seemed jibberish at start, don't know if it was the loading of the movie or the movie itself.
The castle (?) reminded me of Knellotron's movie with the particles.
P
enricoceric : thanks, for animation in 3D I need to experiment more with body. I will do it.
Corknot : hair ! took me 6 evenings of test for nothing... hair to move should have a skeleton, I did few video with hair moving with a mesh key. but to difficult to make it from a close view. Thanks for comment
BigFan :Thanks, for color, many of them go away with various video format. Next time I will work more bright and contrasted to have the best rendering.
vliegtuig : Thanks to greet my lightning , it's come from my 2D ilustrator work ;-) Thanks to call of knellotron , I discover with a shearch on the forum is demo reel ; a great stuff inspirating ! But particules and halo are good way to make magical effect, and I like to produce marvellous Fx.
Thanks all !

Wow very nice! This definately deserves 5 stars. I like the serene and mystic atmosphere sustained throughout your animation. You should do a much longer one with a story, like a short film.
Great job, the only thing that i think could use some work is the frog. Other than that your animation is simply amazing = )
Awesome to watch. Beautiful scenery and flower. Without a story wich cant be disturbing.
Wow, really great movie! I like the frog/prince story theme. The animation wasn't extremely detailed but something seemed to make up for that... Thanks for sharing!
hmmh, could you provice any other codec, this one doesn't seem to play correctly..
.b
very nice movie!
but agree with others about the frog... or maybe that's the idea - an ugly frog.anyway, decoration is excellent and i liked the fairy a lot.

The models were all good. As others have said, the toad stood out - it wasn't bad, but it didn't have the same kind of detail, but I don't know whether it was caused by the model or the texture.
The fairy was nice, but her wings were hard to make out. They were too transparent IMHO. You might've ment them to be that way, but in that case, I suggest adding some multi-colored glimmer or something so that what little of them can be seen right now stands out more.
The castle was fantastic, but the ball of sparkles the fairy send towards the frog looked strange.
Also, I don't think the animation was as high quality as the rest of it. As an example, the fairy just flaps her wings and goes up, instead of jumping, or pushing with her feet, or even striking few more times to get herself to the air. Also, when she comes down, she looks like she lost her balance for a while - but only after she's on ground. Just moments before that, she came slowly down, in a very controlled fashion. I'll try to find the tutorial from which I learned the theory of weights and forces (continuing movement), even if I haven't tested those in practise.
As others have stated, some of the animation was bit stiff and lacking some extra movements, but overall, very original idea and you pulled off the concept perfecty.
Great job.

Thanks you all for the reply and comments !
Thanks Basse & BgDM ! your commentary are full of energy to let me attack one other project !
Endoperez : For animation, I made all without IK. Just with moving bones not well rigged, now I start to learn more what a good animation is and mean.

What a magical little animation. Yes there were little things that you can imrove on, and they have been mentioned and addressed. But nothing needs improved on the magic feel you wove throughout the whole thing.
Great work. I really like the environment and the appearing of the castle, as well as the music matches the atmopshere ;).
Thanks a lot Dreamsgate , Leichim !

That's an excellent idea! It would be nice see the whole animation from start to finish fully
documented in BlenderArt Mag's next issue or after.:D
This is so inspiring!! Maybe there's hope for a noob like me. :)
DeeVad, nice, cool... I saw your webpage, Why Fairy? I'm studying your blend, can you explain about the water effect and the castle particles effect?
and How long took the render?
Thanks for all post and e-mail,
May be it will be more easy if I start to write on a paper all question about technics , took back some screen in my anim, and answer them on a media as Blenderart with a tutorial about the castle effect ( thanks Nam Pham for the idea ) . How to contact them ?

If you're looking for a host for the video, 4shared.com gives you 1gig free space unlimited bandwidth, and their ads seem to be less intrusive than the some of the other free hosting sites.

I'm sorry to say it but I like all of the animation except for the animation itself.
I'm not liking the animation cause of the lack of realism, maybe you should put some more time in animation in your next movie. I know it's hard to animate realistic but all the correcting and re-posing is very good for your experience and results.
Happy Blending!
Thanks Mike_S for the link, I will try to make a good use of it.
Anicator : Thanks, you'are right about animation : I must work on it.
My compliments for inspiring, finished animation project. Your models, as always, were superb.
I am looking forward to seeing your next projects.
<edit>Just a quick note about your fairy's finger rig. Have you taken a look at bassam's finger rig? You can find it at http://orange.blender.org/blog/mancandy-updated/. Or take a look at Orange rigs. It is easy to animate. Just scale fingers and the joints will move automatically. The bones that move joints are hidden on other armature layer. </edit>

Deevad: I never received the tutorial or it would definitely have been published. Where did you send it to?
A few things need polishing, but the most important part, the atmosphere, was perfectly done, I think with more experience you will produce some amazing work, and I can't wait until your next animation :)
