hahahaha no the portaits are not of the band members they are actually quite good looking. these portraits are of people that i just make up in my head different people (anomalies).
it´s all modelled in blender and rendered with the blender internal renderer except the hair that was painted in photoshop
this is the band they are called Aela if you ever get a chance to see them take it they are friggin AMAZING!

Awesome
wouldn't like to meet him on a dark night.
That is one creepy looking man. He looks exactly like the one man on a poster (or still) from a zombie/splatter movie i've seen some time back, but i can't remember the name (i think it was something from the "#### of the dead" series of movies).
Anyway, nice model and skin texture :) May i ask if you also tried to use particle hair instead of the PSed one?

Excellent! Ears too high on first pic though...
shouldn't this be in WIP???
Great characters yet again.
The ears work on the first one, but the next two, they do seem too high and also, they stick out way too far from the head. I think it is more at the lobe area of the ear that really throws it off. Should be closer to the side of the head.
Great pieces though.

Forum gallery worthy I'd say. A little flat in tone maybe, but it works for me.

Gorgeous work being presented in this thread.
What are the actual render sizes of these for the projection btw?

thanks BgDM coments like that keep me going, the original render size is 1000x1200 thats not very big but since projectors are not razor sharp and people will be looking at these from far away i figure that should be enough. I am posting a full size image this time so you can check out the details
this is Wlascek he likes to put on some lipstick every now and then and have people for dinner

The most striking thing that I find in your newest picture would be the eyes, it feels like the attention is drawn there first. Its amazing, looks so amazing. Almost no crits, skin is wonderful, hair looks great. Only thing is the collarbone under the shirt, for some reason I feel it doesn't look to right. meh, what am I saying. This is amazing, keep up the great work. I'm really looking forward to the final 14 finished products.
excellent work here!
when doing variations like this, be careful not to repeat too much.. there is already some that look "so-so" compared to the first one which was definetely the best.
good idea might also be drasticly change the basemesh to explore new facial structures.
otherwise you end up having morphs instead of originals.

Very good job on those heads. All of them show personality so often missing from any kind of art. They all look far more realistic than typical made whit guide book in hand heads. It's actually quite refreshing to see 3D used in making of people less than perfect.
I have nothing to critisize about.

here´s my latest he is called Ivan he was found in an abandoned house in Minsk with large portions of his face and neck missing, skin was grafted to him to cover his bare bones and muscle he has not spoken since he was found

Woah some of these faces are phenominally realistic. Each of them have great (if not slightly dark) personalities. These pics deserve to be in the forum gallery.

The first one looks like Wayne Rooney :D
Great work! I really like the idea to present them in front of this green background. The short stories of the last two characters fit very well.
Keep it up!

artistically, it is amazing how much skill you have put into these, the hair skin tone, shadeing, realism all pretty amazing!
mentally, this work is terrifying, it looks like you have tapped into visions of the most deranged/souless people on earth with perfect clarity! and your little stories dont help, the dude with the skin graphs...... abandon house........ not speaking........... i'm getting the hell out of here!
but......amazing stuff artistically.......ahhhhhhhhh!
its like norman rockwell on acid..........
Looking great, wonderfull work. One question, will they be projected individualy in a slideshow, or composited into a crowd type thing?

The latest one is flawless. Perfectly done.
Now, I am assuming you are using the current test builds with sculpting for these in order to get the detail levels that you are? Cause I have been away and have not gone through the whole thread again to see if you answered this yet.

the black and white make the bottom one photorealistic. good job man!
a question: why are anomalies all evil?
.b
I agree with basse. That b&w render really does look realistic. Very creepy.
Excellent work, yet again.

what do u do? r u a 3d modeler? talk to me...
what do u do? r u a 3d modeler? talk to me...
no, being a blender3d user forum and all, i think none of us really do any 3d work.
