F... That's Fuc... Amasing Wowowowowwowow
I call this Photorealistic 8)
nice job :)
Amazing work as always
crit-i dont think the sky blends in well and some sections of it seems too dark for the general lighting of the rest of your scene i could be wrong maybe i just dont like the sky excellent work though

Great work as always :)
A mountain faintly visible in the background would look even better.
Aligorith
Congratulations, nice work, very realistic indeed. What kind of lighting setup did you use?
Greetz, Fritz.
Please do not posts pictures from the real world in 3d forums. They usually lead to confusion and getting a lot of praise for a photorealistc..picture ;)
Excellent work as usual
Cheers

ahh feeling of peace! nice image!
whoo.. If u sen that one into the blender forum, It would get in.. Im sure... very very nice work! :D
Excellent render.
I think it may be a bit oversaturated, but that could just be my eye too. Not too much though.

Hey, very nice work. As already stated, the photo of the sky doesn't blend in 100% with the rest of the image (could be the hard sunlight shadows, when the sky looks like it's mostly overcast).
Anyway, keep up the good work! :)

nice work! Nice Texturing
That is really good! :D
Amazing. I got to do some work on the grass. I always wanted to do that!
:oCan you translate that image to English?
Congratulations man!!
Beautiful image, model, textures and lightning
Ahh the simple life, calm n quiet indeed, Beautiful image dude.
keep it up !
Stop taking pictures and posting them in 3D modelling forums! :D
Great work, I always look forward to seeing your creations. :)
Beautiful, but two crits:
1. The lighting angle of the sky seems disjoint from that of the rest of the scene.
2. The shadows seem a bit too dark, a touch more ambient lighting would help considerably I should think for pushing it that bit nearer to photorealism.

Yeah, the lighting seems to be a little bit too crisp, just a little bit too contrasty, based on what I see in the background. Perhaps I was expecting more of a yellowish cast to the sky, if we are to believe that this is an approaching storm.
So, go back out there in the real world whereever you took this picture ;) and take another one. ;)
Wow...
tis' my new wallpaper
Really nice! Only thing that's really bothering me is I think the height of those plants/crops/whatever is really high. The crops are farther away than the tree is, and yet in the image they reach over a third of the height of the tree, and close to half the height of the wagon, and the amount of ground between the crops and wagon implies there's a fair distance between them, so I think if they were level with eachother the crops would really be towering over the wagon.

Enrico, it has become quite clear that you're one of the guys to follow on this forum.

Thanks to all ! Glad you like it.
Some information about the scene, this is a typical landscape from the hesbaye region in Belgium a very flat region (so can't even consider to place some mountains in the background as suggested by Aligorith ;) ) wich is mainly agricultural. The sky corresponds to an approaching storm and it's more or less what I got on a shot I took in such a situation.
The grass has been made with a grass texture for the mesh and particules which were very hard to tune. The light is a simple sun light and I agree, the shadows are a bit strong.
I'm making some changes, mainly on the light and I will come back soon with another rendering.

Hi all,
I improved several things, textures on carriage and grass but mainly the light which should better correspond to an approaching storm.
See top of thread.
Wow!! amazing
the only crit I have is that the green of the wood panels on the wagon is too bright, and old wagon would have faded paint.
Hello!
I have to say that I am not really convinced that this is really a render than a nice photo. It's just *too* good to be true. ;)
A wireframe screenshot would be really nice! :)
greetings

Amazing. Seems to me however, that the sun is on the other side of the clouds, though the shadows are going the other direction. Maybe it's just me. Other than that, this is rated one of the best blender renders in my book! If I had a book.

Thanks again to all,
As usual I added a B&W version and as asked by some of you, I placed a blender screenshot (not nice at all, any suggestion to get something better is welcome).
Great rendering!
Just one thing to make it perfect:
- the right side of the vehicle seems to be hovering, it doesn't look to be resting on the ground.

Wow very nice. I bet that took a while to render. And rendered in blender!! Congrats.
I like that one. Very nice, low polycount of the ground.
Enricoceric, gorgeously stunning as usual.
The only nit I have it that somehow the debris in the lower right hand corner does not seem to merge well with the grass, to my eye it is the only part of the entire picture that looks slightly as if it was computer generated.
The rest of it is utterly photorealistic.

Real nice, only problem is the sky. It's backlit while the mesh is top lit (judging by the shadows) makes the whole image a little unsettling. Very moody though, excelent cart!
enrico, c'est fantastique, excellent!
If I may give some comments, which might improve things....:
- the sky needs to look better at horizon level.... I don't but there's something. *edit*. ... but then again it looks ok when in black&white.
- the green color of the wood "car" should be a little less saturated and darker maybe.
Keep up the nice blending!

Last update, I hope so
I made some improvements based on your crits, mainly on the sky which should better corresponds to the sun light direction, the garbage on the left better intergrated with the grass and some light changes.
Thanks again for your comments.
Enrico
What a beautiful render!!!
It is in fact quite relaxing and calm. The balance of its colors can only tranquilize my senses. Thanks for delighting our eyes with a snapshot of your mind. =D
Maybe I am wrong, but the title "Quiet Moment" I am taking to mean a quiet moment from what looks like maybe thunder storms in the distance, as the clouds clearly get brighter as they get closer, also some breaks in the clouds leading me to believe that the sun is indeed shining down on this area at the time this virtual photo would have been taken.
Great work!
*EDIT* oops, if I had read all the posts I would have seen it is an approaching storm, but I think I understood the scene correctly.
i like the plack and white version much much better, the color version looks more like a rendering, while the b&w looks like a photo (more so, at least)
That looks great!
I tried to achieve this a while back for a dutch agricultural landscape which I wanted to use for an animation, but didn't get as close as this! That was mainly because of rendertime issues, so my question to you is:
How long does this image take to render?
Am I the only one who doesn't like this?
Ha, only joking, it's amazing. It almost had me speaking leet. I love the black and white photo, that's going on my desktop pronto.
Could you tell me how you did the sky?

This piece really is terrific, but there is one thing that jumps out at me. The broken ends of the boards on the cart sides don't look right. They should not be bright yellow like fresh wood- they should be the faded grey of the back sides of the boards.

Very nice atmosphere. Its sort of like the calm before the storm idea... I like it:D .

First off, very good!
Second, what method did you use to render your black and white version? I have read articles about separating the red, green and blue channels and mixing them in various ratios to perfect the contrast. One such article can be found here: http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials/color-black-white.htm
Third, I really love your render.
Fourth, I do have to agree with the comments about the directionality of your light source and the over-saturatedness of the image, but again, well done.

Friggin' WOW. Good work. One crit, the green plants are a little too saturated and a little too yellow.

Just back from 2 weeks holidays near the Toscana, very inspired ...
Thanks for all your comments,
@Stungun : The rendering time is not so impressive, I don't remember exactely, I think about 16 hours on a P4 3.2 HT
@shaker : The sky was made with 3 joined photos to get a panoramic image.
@j0llyr0ger : I hesitated to do it like that but on the photo I shot and I used as model the wood was just like that, I didn't know if I should reproduce it as is but after all I kept it as it relates an immediate past event, the farmer has probably broken them 2 days ago :)
@Hunkadoodle : I know about this technic to get a B&W image and somebody already suggested it to me for "The Chair" image, I didn't found the time to test it yet, but for sure I will soon or later.
Thanks again
Enrico
Don't mean to be off topic, but for those wondering about B&W, I might be able to offer something.
Quick link to how I do my B&W:

Great image, though I disagree about the lighting direction. Many times storm clouds have tears that allow strong, directional sunlight in while the surround clouds still have a top-lit direction-less glow about them. I find nothing objectionable in your image. Even the color, which on my (hardware calibrated) monitors looks authentic enough, at worst maybe hinting at a white balance (of film) choice that was not the best for conditions, but nothing that outwardly makes it appear fake. There is still that "uncanny valley" quality about it that after a good study pegs it as artificial, or at least heavily manipulated, but I think overall if you showed this to someone that's not obsessed with computer graphics they would be fooled.
However, I applaud you the most for not making a space scene, a naked chick, or a car. :D
