Looks damn good. (:

Pretty good but there's some things a little off on the model. The roof rail looks too thick and chunky. The horizontal angle on the front of the bonnet and the verticals at the back corners look slightly too severe. Nice details though.

A little change, I wanted to make this look like a 70s movie shot kinda, hows this

frodo2975: thanks man, I did those flames with a special technique.

nerdVANNA: thank you for those kind words :)

mongrol: hmm you've got a point mate, I think I can correct something.. thanks

Incredible model. Absolutely stunning. I tried one myself, but lost the file and never tried it again. I would love to do one of these one day. Yours is absolutely great! The different texture are all lovely but here is another vorte for the flamed one.

Congrats.

PS I have to say I dislike the glow effect. Especially on the roof. And in the first picture the camera should have turned down a bit IMHO.

wow that last one is really good.
It really looks old.

nice work

Hey guys,
Now here is another one with the Technicolour/eastmanColour effect
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y295/rishiparkhe/blenderRenderMini9.jpg

All the redCar renders are in blender internal. Rest in yafray.

Roger: Thanks for the comments! In fact I had lost interest in the model after a while (if you see the dates in the wip thread), whatever I did made it look like a miniature model, but after a month I reworked on it a little on materials, rendering and lighting. I think I got that right later :o. I can change the camera angle in the first image, I also thought it made it looked unrealistic, the glow was temp too, gotta remove that.
Thanks man.

C0Rkn0T: The last one, I wanted to make it look like this all the time, finally I worked out the magic spell in gimp :D. If only... I had some grass in there. Thanks for the comments dude.

I like the black one with the flames too, but I'd like to see some flames on the hood too, it looks somewhat empty

Awesome :)

You've captured a 50's/60's style really nicely. Just the shiny/reflections look a bit on the dull/flat side.

very nice, though it looks like a toy model without any context... put it in a simple setting.

p00f: thanks for the reply man, cheers!

Morio: Hey that is a good idea, I can do some on the hood, but I need to work out the combination right otherwise may get crowdy. Thanks man.

Aligorith: Thanks for the compliments dude. You are right about the reflections , I started to notice that too.

Aidan: geez thanks man!.

ChooDaddy: Oh, do the red ones still look like toys ? I actually would give a shot at compositing here, but I am not that good at it yet.
Cheers mate.

Nice model and materials.
I still like this one best

The lighting is not so good.
It's what is really keeping this at 3 stars.

Hi man,
What effect is the technicolor /eastman ? What Program ?
Beautiful image !!!

wow this is realy great i like the different render styles

This latest render is absolutely my favorite. Very well done. Other that the roof is disapearing to the same coloured background, it's lovely! If the grainyness on the floor is gone (perhaps it's intended, but I think with higher render settings it will look a lot better.) and perhaps the camera is lowered (so that it won't look like a toy car, most place the camera too high) it will be really cool. If you'd make a wallpaper-sized render of it, it'd be really sweat .
You can be really proud of this one. Even post it to Blender.org's gallery!

The last render is great, I still would like a better glass material.

JDA: Thanks for the comments man. Well I am experimenting with the lighting, maybe I will posses some expertise after a few attempts .

thuleke: Technicolour and eastman colouring technique was used in the old films. That was a primitive technique but the effect looked awesome in some cases. If you asked about what program I used to make that ...gimped the base image. Thanks !

solartic: Cheers dude. I wanted texture em crazy, but I can sure try one more biker of a paint job.

Roger: Geez thanks for that man! Yes I think I need a even high settings render for this. Wallpaper sized render is coming soon :D. Thanks, I can surely try this time for blender gallery.

cipix: Thanks for the comment man, about the glass material I dont know why it rendered like that with the AO, otherwise in yafray it renders okay.

narven: Thanks !, and I am honoured sire ;)

Hi everyone! Like totalexodus, i'm also new here but have been reading the forum for a while.

Nice work garphik, those classic minis are awesome! :D

I also have a passion for minis and am currently working on a model at the moment - though a later model. I've been working on it for quite a while and have never attempted anything this complex before.

Your comments are very welcome. Note this is only a work in progress. I realise the bonnet is too square, badge isn't great, and some panel joins aren't done - not to mention there are no windows, doorhandles, hinges or any other detail at the back of the car.

Anyway here goes...

Damo, I think this is not the place to post your creation.
Take a look at the WIP section, it may be better for you ;).

Bye.
