View Full Version : SHORT ANIMATION"phantom of the hirayaman"
I made a short animation"phantom of the hirayaman"
http://www.ekakiya.jp/hirayaman.wmv
720 x 400 pix , 2min , 49MB
I love node module system, so Imade this with Blender CVS build in 4.24.
Hey E,
some really cool artistic stuff. Interesting visual style. Sometimes I wasn't convinced by the character's poses (mostly during the shootout), but many times they were great with really cool shots and compositions (also during the shootout).
Good work.

I don't know how you put this together in blender, but that was visually pleasing.
Awesome stile, congrats, enjoyed watching it :)
really great! that was totally fantastic. Loved the style, too. 5 stars from me....
Absolutely stunning. Five stars from me.
The music fits the animation perfectly. Who is the composer?
Visually stunning!
If I could plug stuff here, it would be plugged.
Excellent work.

EXCELLENT! I love the style, another 5 stars from me too! The only thing to crit for me is the action sequences almos at the end of the film are a little bit confusing, but nothing serious actually.
Cheers!!
very nice visual style, I liked that!
the camera panning was a bit over the top for me, made it feel like graphics card demo more than a movie.
but yes, I have to watch it again at home, with sound, and maybe not so choppy playback that I had here at work.

wow! amazing! A lovely "not obviously 3d" style..
very excelent, great sound and visual candy, 5 stars from me. I thought it was excelent, at the start it looked like some sort of a game because it looked low poly, but it was still very excelent
i love the style of this animation, look forward to seeing more.

I really enjoyed that. Thanks for sharing!
... so Imade this with Blender CVS build in 4.24.
Very interesting work! I couldn't really understand the plot, but it was visually stunning! Amazing & cool that it came out of blender! [Nice to see work from a fellow dislexic, too! Lisdexics Untie! (psst: it's 2.42, actually...;) )]
Wow this is just great! I don't know what else to say. :)
Very unique and enjoyable, thanks for sharing your work.

What the heck was that! ;)
Just watced it. It was quite an interesting little film, although I found the story a bit hard to follow. The visual style was unique (although it strobed a bit too much for my liking).

wow i liked that great job
Wow! You all know I'm not one to jump on the fanboy box (nor am I particularly into violent films) but that was a masterpiece!
Thanks!
Cool Style, you have a unique vision! Congratulations!
wow totally awesome ... very unique
How long did it take you to make it!?! :O That was amazing. Great style

I found the film to be very well done. I don't particularly care for this type of film generally. Mainly becuase of the lack of focus. This however was done nicely. I did see a lot of things that reminded me of Ghost in the Shell (the cut scenes, the one with the plane in particular).
Very nice work.

nice!
Who composed the music?
Outstanding. Really very special. I love it!
Regards, Ron AF Greve
Very nice. my question is this: whats the name of the music and who's the artist?
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW
now that's awsome, undaily, freekupy style... just don't know what i'm saying - i'm woowed.
i've to watch it again
but - tell me secret - what was rendered and what was just add with nodes...?
Why did you use metasequia(sp) for modelling?
Cool video, but I'm sorry, too much video effects for my taste. I can't see a thing, the picture is kind of dull, in what can only be described as a 'low contrast blend of forest green and magenta.'
Again great video I just dont like when people mess with color. Like the Matrix, its like they went through and made the whole movie have a green hue post-pro. Annoying as heck, your eyes just get adjusted to it anyway. okay just my humble opinion /rant

that really was a visual orgy - nice work!
Did you use 2d media from other software for the characters in blender or did you just composite them in in Vegas?
How much is Blender?
End credits report several programs were used.
Looks like the models were originally made in Merasequoia and imported to Blender for rendering / base animation. The resulting movie scenes were then joined in Mirage (and had extra effects added at this stage) with Vegas being used to mix the sound.
I reckon if you'd stick to Blender for modeling and scene creation, then used cinelerra for movie joining & effects along with audacity for sound mix, you could achieve this in free software. I'd also use ffmpeg afterwards to cut down the download size.
It honestly sounds great, but it's too big too download on my box. So i didn't get to watch
it.:(

Arrrrgh, why must you use Windows Media format...
Use Quicktime, AVI, or MPEG next time, please.
Even YouTube will suffice - better than not being able to watch it at all.

If you're trying to avoid windows media player, use VLC.

@conartist6: Thanks, but I've tried and actually the file crashes VLC for me. :-/
Update: I found it on YouTube, so nevermind.
wow, this is old (2 years?)
use winamp, since its a wmv (or get a converter)
I'm guessing you're on... linux? :D
who keeps reviving these threads?
need the title of the song in that movie...
