View Full Version : multiple decal problem
I am having a problem with decals. I have figured out how to apply one but when i try to apply a 2nd decal to the same object the 1st decal disappears. The 2nd decal is going on to a 2nd texture. Is this the way it should be? I can't get it to work. Any help would b greatly appreciated.
K, do you do it the Empty way? If yes, just give a texture for each decal on the same material and make sure you have Clip on and not Extend. Put an empty inside the mesh for each, Map the texture to Object and put the name of it's empty in the box there. Then point the Empty's Z axis at the face where you want it to show and scale the empty to get it the right size.
You can do hundreds so long as there's an empty for each.
Thx Enzoblue. I was using empties but I did not have the texture channels set up right. Your reply made me go back and check a few settings. It's working great now.
