Hi,

Sorry for all the questions; I've searched for a solution for this for at least 3 hours without success. I get the UV-image editor essentially (all tutorials work successfully) yet when I try to map images to a 3ds face, instead of a nice rectangle or triangle in the UV ed (to correspond with the face I've selected) I get a tiny dot in the bottom left corner. Sometimes, if lucky, I can grab it and pull it into a shape, but often, nothing. I cant zoom or scale it. I've tried converting tri to quad etc. No luck. I'm sure this is a simple matter, but hell, I'm confused. Any helpful suggestions?

Try removing doubles before using UVFace mode.

Thanks. After encountering so many issues in Blender that have all boiled down to me not understanding the interface properly, I assumed this was the same. Instead, the error lay in my model mesh. Live and learn. Solved.
By the way, has anyone figured a way around how textures map differently (occasionally) between the internal renderer and Yafray.
