Hey everyone. I have been toying around with blender for a few days now, and am starting to really like it. (Plus I am able to render some viable objects)

So I took one more step and am playing with photon lamps - but like most tenderfoots, I am having a lot of trouble.

What happens is a bunch of bright dots all around the screen, instead of the effect I intended (a little bright shape behind a glass).

I have read the tutorials, but even with those settings, its all a bunch of dots. Is there any way to smart-blur or eliminate these annoying dots. And combine them into a realistic image?

I just had to say something to this:

UPDATE MY TUTORIAL!

Yafray is really behind on updating their content - that tutorial is almost a year old! ... if not older! Thanks for linking to it but really!

So you want a better tutorial? Try downloading the updated version that was published in BlenderArt Magazine (www.intellidesign.org/blenderart_mag) Issue #3. Lot's of yafray goodness in there! :)

Enjoy!

Daniel
