High School Blender Competition?

Greetings, all:

I teach a high school multimedia class, and we spend a good chunk of time working in Blender. I'm wondering if there are any competitions out there for high school (and possibly middle school) level animation/3d art work. I'll have have kids do some competitions on blender battles, but I'm also looking for something more formal (with prizes and everything).

If not - are there any folks out there who would like to help start such a competition?

There is always the irtc: http://www.irtc.org/

They sometimes have prizes, not always. You'll want to take a look at the
rules before deciding if you want to use that one or not.
