Ok still loving and using blender don't worry hehe

But I've been working with 3dsmax a bit, though I don't really like that one. Now I've only just started working with Maya... but maya doesn't seem to support any file format but it's own??

So how do I get a file from 3dsmax and or blender into maya... I can transfer files between the first easily enough, .dxf works fine but maya won't open it.

If I am not mistaken, almost every app will open Lightwave obj format. You can get the obj export script for blender in the Pyhton forum here.

Try that.

THX and in the meantime I also found kaydara's FBX plugin which works fine for maya/3dsmax

I'll look into obj as well

OBJ export from blender works great!!!!! lots better than that fbx export from 3dsmax.... thx a million!!!! my hero lol if you were a gal I'd kiss yah :D
